ENG-70 English Language Study:Reading and Writing...
This English language course meets for a total of six hours each week. Students work to achieve the English skills necessary to succeed in an academic environment. The emphasis is on the development and reinforcement of English grammar and vocabulary skills through reading and writing. This course is limited to students who have demonstrated a specific level of basic English skill. (Six class hours and two hours of lab work). A grade of IP (In Progress) may be given to any student who has made satisfactory progress but has not satisfied the requirements for entry into the next level. The requirement for entry into the next level of English is based on the end-of-semester placement test. In order to quality to take the placement test, students must receive a passing grade in the course, or with permission of the chair.
