Gallaudet University does not put students in boxes. Here, we understand that every applicant is unique – and that there may be strengths beneath the surface that do not show up in a standard college application or test score.

That’s why we carefully review the entire candidate profile and do not make admission decisions on single factors like test scores or GPAs alone.

Applying for Honors

The Honors Program at Gallaudet looks for students who can demonstrate intrinsic intellectual motivation, dedication and commitment to a program of study, and an ability to engage ideas and text beyond, or in addition to, the personal.

If you meet the criteria for Honors Program admission, you will be invited to apply at the time of your acceptance to the University. Program perks include the following:

Honors Lounge for private study, group collaboration, and socialization
