We’re all about success, both in the classroom and on the field. Our Athletics and Intramurals Department is on a mission to fuel the academic and athletic triumphs of our amazing student-athletes. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just dipping your toes into the sports scene, we’ve got a spot for you.
Meet the Bison
We’re not just a department; we’re a family. Our Gallaudet Bison consists of 14 varsity programs, a club team, and a cheerleading squad that brings the hype to every game. From basketball and baseball to soccer, swimming, and track and field, we’ve got a sport that matches your passion. We even have an Esports collegiate team which is the first and only deaf-led collegiate esports program worldwide!
Intramural Sports for the Win
For those looking for something that requires a little less commitment but still the athletic competition, dive into the world of intramural sports where you can create or join teams for a variety of sports. Whether you’re into friendly competition or just want to break a sweat, our intramural programs are where friendships are made, and fun is unlimited. Some Intramural sports include, but is not limited to:

- Ultimate Frisbee
- Wallyball
- Video Games
- 3×3 Basketball
In addition to intramural sports, we have a weight room/fitness complex for the Gallaudet community to use and we hold open gym sessions frequently throughout the year. View the available hours and schedules.
