Transfer Applicants

Choose Gallaudet University, and get ready to accelerate your future and influence the world!

You will be considered a transfer student if you have enrolled at a college/university before applying.

If you have a Bachelor’s degree from another college/university and are new to Gallaudet, you will be considered a Second Degree student.

Required application materials

Complete an online application, including the $50 application fee

A short essay, 250-500 words long

A letter of recommendation from a current or former teacher

Provide unofficial high school and college transcripts from each institution (if applicable)

ACT, SAT scores (The testing requirement may be waived if you show evidence of having completed 12 hours of college-level English and Mathematics or a total of 30 hours of college credit.)
