Our diverse students study in an immersive American Sign Language (ASL)/English environment like no other. We are set apart by our relentless dedication to research and innovation, inclusive excellence, and the worldwide advancement of deaf education. With over 40 majors and 33 minors, including a Self-Directed Major, there’s no limit for your child to pursue their passion and no better place than Gallaudet.
Our Support Services work all over campus to provide students with academic, career, and health support. For many students, Gallaudet is their first experience in an immersive American Sign Language (ASL) and English environment. Our Student Success and Support Services will prepare them to thrive at Gallaudet and feel right at home.
Serving deaf, hard of hearing individuals, and the signing community is our tradition and our culture. We are committed to enriching the lives of everyone in our community–that includes you, our parents and families.
Gallaudet University offers a full college experience, including much more than classes. There’s always something happening on campus—international and national speakers and performers, movie nights, multicultural celebrations, and group activities planned in the residence halls.
