Policy

Gallaudet University has a certain level of redundancy within the Data Center.

Data Continuity and Recovery

All data is backed up regularly on-site. For details on the back-up processes, please go to the Data Backup section. If services suffer a disastrous failure, the service will be restored with either on-site data backup, or recalled from an off-campus tape facility within 24 hours if disruption occurs on a working day and 72 hours if disruption occurs during off-hours.

Site Recovery

At this time, Gallaudet University does not maintain an off-site data center. Options and designs are currently being investigated to provide for continuity of operations in the event of loss of the primary facility.
