The Futures Articulated through Belonging, Languaging, & Expression lab (FABLE) examines service-user experiences within healthcare and education primarily through interdisciplinary arts-based research. Focused mainly on Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services, the lab’s research aims to influence clinical training, clinical practice, and policy change related to best practices to optimally support service-users from culturally responsive, transformative, and person/family/community-centered approaches.
The FABLE lab is directed by Dr. Farha Najah Hussain, PhD, SLP. Collaborators include Dr. Stephanie Lloyd (Université de Laval) and graduate students.
