Perry had worked with elementary and middle school students at Kendall Demonstration Elementary School since 2022. She previously worked as a Residential Advisor at Gallaudet University, and at the Delaware and Maryland Schools for the Deaf.
Perry was a Wisconsin native and a 1994 graduate of Wisconsin School for the Deaf. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work at Gallaudet University.
Perry is survived by her daughter, Neva Whittaker, a senior at Maryland School for the Deaf; her mother, Janet Perry; two sisters, Tamara Perry Fuerst (Paul Fuerst) and Tracy Perry Reins, E-’99 (Albert Reins, ’19); and four nieces and nephews. Her nephew, Gunnar Reins, is a current Gallaudet University student.
Memorial service arrangements are pending. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the Stauffer Funeral Homes website.
