The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Task Force to Prevent Digital Discrimination held a Public Listening Session about broadband access on September 14 at Gallaudet University.

FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel and President Cordano opened the event, and then two panels comprised of experts in technology accessibility, including Dr. Christian Vogler, Professor and Director of our Technology Access Program, discussed the experiences of disabled people in accessing broadband, as well as solutions for addressing these challenges.  

Deaf panelists in addition to Vogler included AnnMarie Killian, Executive Director of TDI, and David Bahar, Director of Telecommunications Access of Maryland. Suzy Rosen Singleton,  Chief of the FCC Disability Rights Office, faciliated one of the two panel discussions. FCC Commissioner Jeffrey Starks delivered closing remarks.
