James Bruner

Mr. Bruner came to Gallaudet in August, 2015 as the new Executive Director of the Maguire Academy of Risk Management and Insurance. Prior to this, Mr. Bruner completed a 30 year career in Risk Management and Insurance in various capacities. Twenty five years were spent with Wausau Insurance Companies/Liberty Mutual Insurance Companies as an Account Executive and with Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) as an Area Vice President. 

Mr. Bruner was the first class at RIT to live in the new NTID dorm designed to integrate deaf and hearing students on campus.  While a student at RIT, Mr. Bruner learned sign language while living in the NTID dorm, taking classes and completing an eight week Sign Language Training Program. 

Mr. Bruner grew up in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.
