Festive Holiday Spirit

“The I. King Jordan Student Academic Center Multipurpose Room and the surrounding atrium was full of hustle and bustle on December 1, 2017, for the annual Holiday Market. Over 40 booths consisting of Gallaudet student organizations, entrepreneurs, companies, and other outside vendors came to market their products to the campus community; everything from food, clothing, jewelry, electronic accessories, cosmetics, and artwork.

A DJ played music for the community to enjoy, the Gallaudet Dance Company provided impromptu shows, and the Bison Song Team performed the Bison Song.

Debra Fleetwood, a retired employee from New Jersey who works with her family-owned business, Styles and Stuff, explained her reason for attending the annual Holiday Market: “I have been coming every year for about ten years,” said Fleetwood. “I enjoy it each time.”

Brian “Scott” Bush, ’92, has his own art business, Scott Bush Watercolors, where he paints and sells watercolor artwork featuring historic Gallaudet buildings such as College Hall and Chapel Hall.
