River Sampling for Science!
This video shows students collecting samples from the Anacostia River for their research with the Department of Science, Technology, and Mathematics (STM). “We have to think about how to improve the rivers in our backyards, including the Anacostia,” said STM professor Dr. Caroline Solomon. The types of data pulled from the collected samples include nutrients, which will help the class to determine the quality of the water and the impacts of land use over the years.
