Eyeth 3D: A Deaf Folktale Transformed for the 21st Century
Overview
The Motion Light Lab will create an animated short story using motion capture technology to build a 3D signing avatar to tell the story of Eyeth. Eyeth is a traditional folktale in the Deaf community. This project aims to revive the folktale, create a version that emulates our outlook to the future, expand our production pipeline in 3D development, and contribute to our ASL literature in new forms.
