Navigating to Faculty/Advisor Self Service
Once you are logged into PeopleSoft, the screen will look like this:

Now, click on Self Service hyperlink.
Result: The Faculty/Advisor Self Service page with sub-menu choices appear as below:

Faculty Self Service
The Faculty Center under the Self Service menu is the main page for class schedules, class roster, class permissions and grade entry.
For questions about Self Service, contact the Registrar’s Office at Contact or 202-651-5393 TTY/voice.
In the Faculty/Advisor Self Service page, click the Faculty Center link. A sample Faculty Center page is given below:

View and Print my Class Schedule
The Faculty Center will automatically list your class schedule for the current term. You can view and print by semester your class information (e.g. class number, subject, start time, end time, meeting days, start date and end date). To view/print your class schedule another semester, use the
drop-down list at the top of Faculty Center page and click the
button. The list will contain all the semesters in which you taught classes. A sample Class Schedule for Spring 2018 is shown below:

View and Print my Weekly Schedule
To view your Class Schedule on a weekly calendar format, click on the
link located near the bottom left of the Faculty Center. The weekly schedule will appear as shown below:

You can change the options in Weekly Schedule to display by a specific month, week and day. To select another week, click the
(calendar) icon next to the “Show Week of” field. Select the desired week/month from the calendar and click on
to view the schedule for your selection.
To change the display options on your schedule, scroll down, select your options and click
. This will show an updated list of options.
To view/print your class schedule another term – return to the Faculty Center by clicking on the
hyperlink located at the bottom of the Weekly Schedule, change to the specific term you wish to view and click on 
View and Print my Class Roster
To view your Class Roster for a specific class, open the Faculty Center page and click the corresponding
(Class Roster) icon in your Class Schedule. The Class Roster icons for each class are marked in the sample page below:

The Class Roster page will contain the list of students enrolled in the class. The list contains student details including name, id, grade, advisor name, e-mail address if available, class level and student box number. A sample Class Roster for INT 781-01 is given below:

To see detailed information about the class, click the underlined Class Code on the top left. In the above sample, if you click on the
link you will be taken to the class detail page which appears below:

To return to the Class Roster, click the
link at the bottom left corner.
To print the Class Roster, from the Class Roster page click on at![]()
the bottom right corner and print this page.
View and Print my Class Grades
To view/print grades for a class, open the Faculty Center will and click on the corresponding
(Grade Roster) icon in your class schedule. A sample Grade Roster appears below:

The Mid-Term Grade Roster is displayed by default. To view/print the final grade, change the Grade Roster Type to
and the screen will refresh automatically to display the final grade.
To print the grade roster, from the Grade Roster page click on
at the bottom right corner and print this page.
Advisor Self Service
In PeopleSoft, Advisors can access their Advisee’s Student Center to quickly view and print information about their Advisees. For each Advisee, you may view and print the following:
- Advisee’s “My Planner”
- Advisee’s Class Schedule
- Advisee’s Degree Progress Report
- Advisee’s Enrollment dates
- Advisee’s Grades
- Advisee’s Transfer Credit Report
- Advisee’s Unofficial Transcript
To view your Roster of Student Advisees, from the Self Service page, click the View My Advisees link. Your list of Advisees will appear. A sample Advisee list with the IDs masked for privacy purposes is shown below:

For all your advisees, you can view a limited version of their Student Center, which includes basic advisee information such as:
- Academic information
- Class schedule
- To Do Lists
- Holds
- Enrollment dates
- Student ID (aka Employee ID)
- Contact information
- Demographic information
- Student email address
- Student Planner (My Planner)
To view the Advisee’s Student Center, click on View Student Details link next to the Advisee name. The link for the Advisee named “test2 student2” is shown below:

A limited version of his Student Center appears below:

You can click on the
link of the Enrollment Dates and Advisor section to view more details for those sections.
- To view the Advisee “My Planner”, click on the “My Planner” link at the left menu of the Student Center.

- Next page will appear like this below

- To view the course details, click on course title link
- To view the prerequisites details, click on “yes” link.
Viewing and Printing Advisee Class Schedule
- The Advisee Class Schedule is displayed in the Student Center. To view it in a weekly format, click on the
link at the bottom of the schedule. The weekly class schedule will appear:
- To print the weekly schedule, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar).
The Print dialog box appears. - Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
button on the bottom of the Class Schedule page when you are done.
The Advisee Student Center appears.
Viewing and Printing Advisee Degree Progress
- Click on the
drop down menu in the Academics section of the Advisee Student Center. - Select Degree Progress Report from the Menu and click the
icon. - The View Degree Progress Report page appears:

- Select Gallaudet University as the Academic Institution and the appropriate Report Type (Advising Transcript and Report).
- Once the appropriate settings have been selected, click the
button.
The Advisee Degree Progress Report page appears:

- To print this report, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar).
- The Print dialog box appears.
- Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
link at the top or bottom of the report to return to the previous page.
The Advisee Degree Progress Report page will appear. - To run a ‘Quick What-If‘ report, repeat steps 1-4 and click the ‘Quick What-If‘ button.
The Quick What-If Analysis Report page appears:
- To see how the Advisee’s coursework may apply to a different career, program, plan, and/or sub-plan, fill in the appropriate fields (e.g. Career, Program Override, Plan Override, or Sub-Plan Override).
- For example, to change the Career, click the magnifying glass –
next to the Career field and select from the list of valid values for Career.
The Lookup page will appear:
- To see a list of all the careers, do not enter any values in the fields. Click the Lookup button.
The list of all academic career terms will appear:
- Select the desired career by clicking on the value.
The Quick What-If Analysis Report re-appears. - Continue to select the appropriate values for Terms, Program Override, Plan Override, and Sub-Plan Override following the same steps outlined in steps 11-14.
- Once you have set the appropriate values for all the fields, click the
button and the report will be processed.
The Report results page appears.
- To print this report, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar).
The Print dialog box appears. - Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
button at the bottom of the Grades page when you are done.
The Advisee Student Center appears.
Viewing and Printing Advisee Enrollment Dates
- Click on the
link in the Enrollment Dates section. The Enrollment Date page will appear:
- To print this page, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar).
The Print dialog box appears. - Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
button at the bottom of the Enrollment Dates page when you are done.
The Advisee Student Center appears.
Viewing and Printing Advisee Grades
- Click on the
drop down menu in the Academics section of the Advisee Student Center. - Select Grades from the Menu and click the
icon to navigate to the View My Grades page. - The View My Grades page appears:

- Select the desired Term and click the
button.
The Advisee View My Grades page appears:
- To print this page, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar). The Print dialog box appears.
- Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
button at the bottom of the Grades page when you are done.
The Advisee Student Center appears.
Viewing and Printing Transfer Credit Report
- Click on the
drop down menu in the Academics section of the Advisee Student Center. - Select Transfer Credit: Report from the Menu and click the
icon to navigate to the Transfer Credit Report page. - The View Transfer Credit Report page appears:

- To print this page, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar).
The Print dialog box appears. - Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
button at the bottom of the Grades page when you are done.
The Advisee Student Center appears.
Viewing and Printing Unofficial Transcripts
- Click on the
drop down menu in the Academics section of the Advisee Student Center. - Select Transcript: View Unofficial Transcript from the Menu and click the
icon to navigate to the Transfer Credit Report page. - The View Unofficial Transcript page appears:

- Select the appropriate Report Type (Graduate or Undergraduate Unofficial Transcript) and click the
button.
The Requested Report will appear on the screen:
- To print this page, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar).
The Print dialog box appears. - Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
button at the bottom of the Grades page when you are done.
The Advisee Student Center appears.
Course Catalog and Search
Viewing and Printing Course Catalog
The Browse Course Catalog page provides a list of all courses offered. To start browsing the Course Catalog:
- From the Self-Service menu, click the Browse Course Catalog link.
- The initial page will be the list of courses arranged alphabetically by department names. A sample course catalog appears below:

- Click on any course on the list to obtain the course details. A sample course detail page for Accounting 195 course is shown below:

- To print the class information, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar).
The Print dialog box appears. - Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
link at the bottom of the Course Detail page, when you are done.
The Browse Course Catalog page appears.
Viewing and Printing Classes Scheduled for a Subject or Course
The Class Search page is used to search for classes offered during a specific term. The page has several criteria-based searches that will help narrow the results.
To start searching for a particular course:
- From the Self-Service menu, click the Class Search link. The Class Search page appears:

- Select the desired term from the Term drop-down menu.
- Select the desired subject from the Course Subject drop-down menu. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will search for “Accounting” classes:
- By default, the search page will show only the open classes for a term. If you would like to see all classes including closed classes, uncheck the “Show Open Classes Only” checkbox.
- There must be at least two search criteria selected. If you uncheck the “Show Open Classes Only”, then you would need to specify another criterion in addition to Course Subject.
- To specify additional search criteria, click the “Additional Search Criteria” link. The Additional Search Criteria fields appear below:

- After all the desired criteria have been selected, click the
button. The Class Schedule page appears below:
- To print the schedule, from your browser’s File Menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar). The Print dialog box appears.
- Select your desired printer and click Print.
- Click the
button to search for another class.

- What happens if I have trouble resetting my password?

From your browser’s File menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar). When the Print dialog box appears, select your desired printer and click Print.
- What happens if I have trouble resetting my password?
Note: If your print-out is cutting off information, you need to adjust your browser page setup margins. From your browser’s File Menu, select Page Setup. Change the right and left margins to .25 and click OK. Depending on your printer, you may have to adjust the margin settings to include all your information. To print your schedule, your browser’s File menu, select Print (or click the Print icon on your toolbar). When the Print dialog box appears, select your desired printer and click Print.
