About

Mr. Umar Tukur is an educator and a former political appointee in the Adamawa state of Nigeria who has committed part of his youth to inspire and empower young Deaf people in his country through education. He taught Deaf children through K-12 in his country. Also, he served as Special Adviser on Disability Affairs to the Adamawa State governor. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Jos in Nigeria and a Master’s Degree in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University.
