Sydney Padgett serves as the Compliance Coordinator in the Office of Curriculum, Outreach, Resources, and Effectiveness (CORE) at Gallaudet University. In this role, she helps manage the university's institutional and program-level accreditation activities, ensuring alignment with external accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies. Her work supports Gallaudet's compliance with state authorization requirements and professional licensure regulations, helping ensure students are well-prepared to pursue licensure and certification in their chosen fields. She collaborates closely with academic departments and administrative offices to uphold the university's commitment to quality, accountability, and equitable access to education for the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
Sydney began her career as Student Life Dean of Elementary School at the Tennessee School for the Deaf, and later worked in Student Life at the Maryland School for the Deaf before returning to Gallaudet University as Associate Accreditation Coordinator, during which time she earned her M.A. in Public Administration.
