Senda Benaissa

Senda Benaissa serves as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor for International and Diplomatic Engagement at Gallaudet University.

In this capacity, she co-leads the Innovation International Lab, focusing on establishing a systematic framework for global collaborations and partnerships with universities and international organizations. As the primary point of contact for Deaf Diplomacy initiatives with the U.S. State Department, she coordinates potential partnerships, activities, and funding opportunities. Additionally, Senda collaborates closely with deans and faculty in academic affairs to enhance global partnership relations.

Driven by strategic goals aimed at safeguarding the human rights of Deaf individuals, advancing linguistic rights, promoting civic engagement, and fostering equity in education worldwide, Senda positions Gallaudet as a premier institution for professional training and employment opportunities.
