About

Dr. Qi Wang, Full Professor in the Department of Business, has for over 30 years engaged in a broad spectrum of Gallaudet University roles, including teaching and program/curricula development, program assessment and accreditation management, research and publishing, grant writing and management, mentoring students and faculty, guiding university honor students in their capstone research projects, and service to a wide range of committees and boards. She has undertaken many initiatives to extend Gallaudet’s reputation for quality education and research across major institutions of academia, business, and government worldwide. She is dedicated to individual student success and has asisted numerous deaf and hard of hearing students in their career placement or graduate studies. She is the PI of a National Science Foundation grant with the project title "Collaborative Research: Advancing STEM Online Learning by Augmenting Accessibility with Explanatory Captions and AI".
Fun facts about Qi: she especially enjoys globetrotting (over 20 countries and regions so far!), singing as a member of a local choir, dancing, and practicing yoga.
