Katherine Breen

Kate, born deaf into a hearing family, is from upstate New York where she mainstreamed until she transferred to MSSD in high school.  She graduated from Gallaudet University with a BA in Government and MA International Development. Kate also received a MA in International Studies from University of Limerick in Ireland. 

Kate has worked in a variety of jobs including group homes, case management, taught at Gallaudet for several years, and worked as policy manager for Maryland’s Governor’s Office. She brings her experience and training to her current job as EOP Coordinator here at Gallaudet. 

For many years, Kate volunteered as a museum docent for museums in New York City and Washington, DC. Other interests and hobbies include travelling, reading, watching TV, hiking, and some crocheting.
