About

I am an Assistant Professor in History at Gallaudet University with a joint appointment in the Drs. John S. and Betty J. Schuchman Deaf Documentary Center. I study digital history, nineteenth- and twentieth-century American religious histories, and deaf history.

I completed my Ph.D. at George Mason University in the Department of History and Art History in 2021. My dissertation project, With Eloquent Fingers He PreachedThe Episcopal Mission to the Deaf, traced the development of the Church Mission to Deaf-Mutes, an Episcopal organization that grew in size and prominence between 1850 and 1920.
