Glenn Lockhart

Glenn is director of operations in University Communications, which works to communicate the Gallaudet story to the world. In support of that, he oversees budgets, office platforms, and ad hoc projects. He also represents UC on the University's IT Steering Committee.

Previously he was director of research operations and compliance in the Office of Research (2022-2023), executive director of the Center for Visual Language and Visual Learning (2020-2022), board liaison in the President’s Office (2018-2020), and director of communications for the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center (2012-2018).

His past service to the University includes:

• Co-chair, MSCHE accreditation Standard One workgroup (2021-2023)
• Member, Inclusive Excellence Ambassadorship program (2019-2022)
• Co-chair, Executive Web Management Team (2014-2017)
• Member, Presidential Search Advisory Committee (2015-2016)
• Member, Gallaudet Sesquicentennial Steering Committee (2012-2014)

Glenn received his MMC in mass communication from Arizona State University and his BA in English from Gallaudet University. You can catch him on campus at gatherings of the Turn-a-Page-Together program, hosted by DEDI, in which he has participated since 2012. He enjoys crossword puzzles and always encourages colleagues to maximize on Gallaudet's 5% TSP matching.
