Out of all the 3D animated works in children’s media, almost all of the characters talk. In fact, talking animals, creatures, and characters are the norm. Where is the sign language representation? We now have the technology, know-how, and the pipeline to bring the magic of signing characters to deaf, hard of hearing, and signing children everywhere. Be a part of the change in our children’s media by helping bring exposure to sign language through fun and play.

This fund was established intentionally to support bilingual, innovative resources development and dissemination at Motion Light Lab (ML2). The 3D Animated Signing Animals project is ML2’s newest initiative to advance sign language equity in children’s media through the use of incredible and captivating 3D animation techniques and motion capture.

Please consider making a gift to the Dr. Donalda K. Ammons, ’74 and Dr. Diane D. Morton Language Learning Innovation Fund to support the critical mission and vision of ML2.
