The Professional Advantage

Gallaudet University’s Pre-Medicine Track will give you the advantage in preparing for medical, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, or other health-related careers.

Gallaudet pre-med students most often major in Biology or Public Health.

You will benefit from:

  • Specialized one-on-one advising
  • The full range of courses needed as prerequisites for medical school and to prepare for the MCATs
  • Internal internships in molecular genetics, bioinformatics, nanotechnology and ecology with deaf faculty mentors
  • Research opportunities with Gallaudet’s internationally recognized Brain and Language Laboratory for Neuroimaging (BL2)
  • Off-campus internships in biology, public health and other medical-related fields
  • Workshops to prepare for the MCAT and for applying to medical schools
