Course Overview

This course provides the Fitness for Life Model as the framework for students to assess and identify goals for five components of their fitness: cardiovascular health, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Students are introduced to an array of physical, fitness, and recreational activities that can be pursued over the life cycle for individuals with diverse backgrounds. Students learn how to: (A.) Safely perform selected exercises/activities; as well as (B.) Assess their progress in meeting their individually crafted fitness goals.
