About

I am an associate research scientist under the AIASL (Artificial Intelligence, Accessibility and Sign Language Center) department at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, with research interests focusing on the intersection of human-computer interaction, accessible technologies, and artificial intelligence. My research primarily focuses on people with disabilities, in paritcular the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) community, such as research involving the design and development of automatic speech recognition technologies and sign language technologies. I am profoundly deaf myself from birth, and communicate using both American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
