The 2010-11 Gallaudet University athletics year officially came to a close on Monday, May 2, in the Jordan Student Academic Center Multipurpose Room as the Athletics Department held its annual awards ceremony. Bison student-athletes from all 12 varsity teams were recognized before a capacity crowd. Women’s basketball senior Easter Faafiti (Pittsburg, Calif.) and junior men’s swimmer Brian Bennett (Colorado Springs, Colo.) were named this year’s Student-Athletes of the Year.
