Gallaudet University Tax Deferred Retirement Plan

Plan Number: 95194

Since Gallaudet is a non-profit institution, regular status and temporary employees are eligible to participate in tax deferred investments under IRS 403(b) regulations. Eligible employees must work at least 20 hours a week and cannot be enrolled as students who are regularly attending classes offered by Gallaudet University. Fidelity Investments has been chosen as Gallaudet’s sole 403(b) vendor. Contributions are payroll deducted and tax deferred until withdrawn. You can contribute a dollar amount up to 100% of your eligible pay on a pretax basis, up to the annual IRS dollar limits ($16,500 for 2009). Please note that the IRS limits combine both your Plan and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) contributions. The plan offers a variety of investment options. You can select a mix of investment options that best suits your goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance. Fidelity representatives will be able to assist you with your decisions. You may call the Gallaudet TSA Plan Benefit Center at 1-800-343-0860 to speak with a representative. Or you may also contact April Winstead, a Fidelity Retirement Counselor, at 202-731-6136.

Enrollment forms (Fidelity Enrollment Guide, 403(b) Group Custodial Enrollment Form and Beneficiary Designation Form and Salary Reduction Election Form) are available online at HRS Information & Forms (Intranet), in the Benefits Offices (College Hall, room 113 or 114), or in the main HRS Office, room 106.
