GIS is committed to actively engaging in the on-going enhancement of the interpreting profession and its interpreters.

To further this goal, GIS provides frequent workshops on a variety of topics to enhance skill development. Most workshops are scheduled for one day (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and participants typically earn .6 CEUs. Light refreshments are provided to participants in the morning. Lunch is on your own. All workshops are presented in ASL unless otherwise noted.

GIS also provides diagnostic services for interpreters seeking help in identifying areas for skill enhancement.
